Daddy’s girl

Nisha started to smile this last week.  It began small and it was obvious that she was thinking really really hard about what she needed to do.  To be honest in the beginning it was a bit freaky, you would have this plain faced baby who suddenly, just for a second would give a broad smile … then it was gone.

After about a week we managed to catch her on camera smiling at Nikhil and now she is smiling all the time.  It’s not really that she smiles because of anything we actually do … perhaps it’s just because we are smiling at her and she’s decided that’s what people do.  Still, it’s great feedback and makes you want to play with her more.  The scientist in me knows that it’s evolution’s way of ensuring survival but the Dad in me doesn’t care!
