So we are convinced that Nisha has said her first word. She’s been babbling on and off for the past few weeks but it has mostly been a series of sound experiments with no real direction. However, this past week she said something with a clear sound and within the right context. Gallingly, for me, the word was ‘Dadda’, said to Alex while he was peering at her in her crib.
I mean, never mind the fact that I look after her every need for 8 hours a day and and spend an hour a night feeding her. I guess it’s really Alex who brings a sparkle into her eye and warrants creating a name for. Or it could be that Dadda is easier to say than Mamma. I’m hoping that it’s the latter….but really it doesn’t matter and I don’t mind either way….
